"At the start of my freshman year, my parents and I made a 19-hour road trip before move-in day. George Mason had been my dream school from the moment I toured. I knew my experiences at this school would give me the necessary tools to really prepare me for a career in dance. Being from out of state, I never thought attending George Mason would be possible for my family financially. I was so worried that finances would prevent me from receiving an education in dance at the best school possible for me. Receiving a scholarship from the School of Dance truly made my dream a reality. Without the scholarship, I would not have been able to attend GeorgeMason and would have been given all the incredible experiences I have been fortunate to receive here so far."
